Suzanne Jurmain

In school I was very good at reading and writing and very bad at almost anything that had to do with math.  That meant that when I grew up, I didn’t want to work with numbers.

So I worked as an actress, an editor, and as a museum tour guide until I settled on the perfect job:  writing children’s books.

Since I particularly enjoy stories about the past (and since I have always secretly wanted to travel in a time machine), I mostly write nonfiction books about history.  Some of these books are funny.  Some are serious.  But all of them tell wonderful, wild, crazy, silly, mysterious, dramatic, or heroic stories—and you can learn all about them (and me) by exploring this site.
